The Order, in Columbia, is content. While there have been those that would like to see the Chantry revert to belonging exclusively to them, the benefit of the knowledge and experience from the disparate traditions bonding together has more than paid for the inconvenience of having to share. The Hermetics also made sure that they not only have a council representative, but that they gain a second vote as well. This second vote comes from the Chantry's chamberlain, who is responsible for the day to day upkeep and operations of the Red Campus. Overall the Order is in a fine place, they have influence, and a place to study in relative quiet. Any new Order of Hermes characters coming into the city may be acolytes just becoming “released” as it were into the general populace, or transfers who have come here to study in the chantry.
