The power that the Verbena had in the area is no more. At one point they had a relatively powerful node that they shared with the local Dreamspeakers. With the destruction of that chantry, and its subsequent disappearance, their power base was destroyed. Since that time every Verbena who was a survivor of the attacks has passed away, many from suicide. The modernization of Columbia doesn't sit well with many among the Verbena; but, there is still enough wilderness for those who care to look. A former cabal mate or student of one of the, now deceased, local Verbena may enter play to find out what happened to their erstwhile friend. A young Mage awakening in town may be sent, (most likely by Shrouded Owl) to a mentor in another city and be just recently returning to their hometown. Still others may be coming to the area to find what happened to the now lost chantry.
